Yesterday, when Hubby got home from work, we drove into town and picked up a couple of pigs. Yes, as if I didn't have enough beating hearts around here with the dogs, chickens, cat, & kids, he has now added two pigs to our flock.
We quickly got them into the barn so we could feed and water them. Today they'll be moved outside into an open pen.
Sydney has named one "Ham-let" but the other one has yet to be named. I've asked on Facebook and quite a few great names were suggested, "Baconator" being one of my favourites, but the decision is up to Sydney so for now it's "?."
This gal needs a name, any suggestions that I can run by Sydney? *See update below.
Blue quickly sniffed out the pigs and they didn't seem to mind him at all.
He checks them out while they check him out :)
I did suggest "Deep Freeze" but Sydney frowned at that.
UPDATE: We have names! Ham-let and Pork Chop :)

I remember Grandma looking at a bunch of cute little pigs and the first words out of her mouth were "look at all the little pork chops". I remember the kids weren't to pleased with that statement. But hey I think Pork Chops would be a great name.
Love Ya!
Kansas,
How about "Blanket" as Pigs in a blanket?...See you next week, I'll be over.....Pat
you could always go with "Ophelia"
or how about "Hogatha?"

By the way, Hogatha was the witch or whatever on the Smurfs cartoons that I watched when I was young...

How about Jowlyette? Hameo?
I'd call her "Spamella Hamderson" after the best Muppets Tonight character in the "Pigs In Space" sequence.
Like Pamela Anderson - get it?!
MIss Piggy? Or is that a bit too obvious?
...Um, please excuse me if this is a dumb question, but what's the point of naming them? My sister, God bless her, tries to name the mice I feed my snake. I try to explain to her -- pointlessly -- that they just won't be on this Earth long enough for all of that...
Hi Tanita, everything on this ranch seems to have a name, sometimes they even have two names that aren't even close (weird but true). We are used to naming the animals around here, even the ones we eat; roosters, cows, turkeys, etc. It's just easier to call them and also to tell someone "go feed Ham-let and Pork Chop."
awww...they're adorable and their names are perfect !!! :)
I'm coming up for a rack of chops on the bbcue Don't name one Babe (I love that movei) or I won't be able to come for dinner ab
