I Remember....

September 11...
Even though I'm from Canada the 9/11 disaster hurts deep. I knew no one who was directly, or indirectly, hurt or died that day, but everytime I see or hear something about it a lump forms in my throat and I find it hard to choke back tears. Maybe it's just the thought of how many people were affected... that, and the fact that my Dad was a volunteer fireman for many, many years.

It was pretty early in the morning (6 AMish our time) and my phone rang. My brother was on the other end saying "Is your TV on?"
I said "no."
He said "Quick turn it on."
"What channel?" I asked.
He said "ANY channel!" Gee I was starting to wonder what the heck he was in such a panic about?
So I grabbed the remote and flicked it on.... "Teletubbies." (Sorry to sound comical but it really was Teletubbies on).
He said "ANY OTHER channel!!" I quickly switched to another channel and that's when I saw what was happening.... I didn't quite get it right away, so Frank told me what was going on.
"Oh... my... God..." I was in shock, absolute shock...
I truly pray nothing like this ever happens again and I often wonder just how someone could be so cruel?

I was on my way to work and heard it on the car radio and thought it was an accident at first but soon found out it was real people doing this. Such a terrible shock, just couldn't believe it.

The boys and I were doing homeschooling stuff. My dh called and told me to turn on the tv...we could NOT believe what we were seeing. I will NEVER forget that day!
