I was able to sit down and loom up a couple of hats and a
scrubby. Then I pulled out my sewing machine and sewed up a cute little
wallet. The wallet tutorial is very easy to do! I'll make a few more and tuck them into the Christmas baskets I give out each year. Sydney and I also crafted up quite a few Christmas table decorations for Grandma to take to a Legion supper next week. They turned out rather cute but I didn't get any pictures before sending them over to her. It felt good to step away from the computer and just take a break. Crafting makes me feel so good :)
After posting I decided to sew up a few more wallets.
I'm not sure if CheyElizabeth has a blog but she has her tutorial posted at a craft forum which I've linked above through
TipNut.com. If you don't feel like sewing she does sell her wallets at her
Etsy shop.

This is so fabulous!! I can't wait to learn how to sew.
Okay, I joined that blog, too. I'm never going to get any work done with some many blogs to read and ideas to make....oh, well, thanks!

You craft in bulk! LOL
I'm glad stepping away from the computer was successful. When I grow up I wanna have your skills. Maybe we could be neighbors! LOL
So cute! I love the buggy material!
I just joined your blog and wanted to thank-you for so many great ideas. I needed some cheap fast and easy ideas for Christmas gifts so I am going to make the wallets and the scrubbies. I have visions of sewing/looming ideas dancing in my head. Oops, I mean "sugar plums :)
Kansas you are so crafty.. beautiful work.. Auntieb
Hi Kansas...
Did I read that right? You really did mention "scrubby"! I was thinking I would have to give up using my pots as my "scrubby" is looking so worn and tired. I sure hope Santa delivers to the Island. A "scrubby" is at the top of my wish list this year. There ya go, I get excited just thinking about a new one.
I really have been thinking about a "scrubby" in green :) to match my kitchen. Just in case you hadn't noticed. :)
Love Ya!
Oh, I love the wallets! And the scrubbie!
Wow...when you step away from the computer, lots of stuff happens...dozens of fish and cherries and jellies get canned...entire orchards of apricots are picked and de-pitted! Brandy is made to "age" on your kitchen counters...hair bands are made by the dozen...
=)
You work fast!
That wallet next to the scrubby looks a lot like my homemade quilted place mats I got last year for Christmas. I'm guessing that ones mine. lol
