My Winter Best Friend

No, it's not mitts, or a beautiful hand knitted scarf, or even a fluffy hat that covers my ears. It's my remote starter! Come wintertime, this little guy hangs beside my front door and waits for me to press his lightening bolt. I have his twin on my keys but because those keys are always on the dash of the vehicle they never come in the house. I hold him to my chin, supposedly the range is then carried farther, and with a grin on my face listen for the vroom of my Explorer to start, laughing at the bitter cold outside. If I don't plan on going anywhere the vehicle runs for 15 minutes and shuts off. I know, a big waste of resources, but better that than having my vehicle plugged in all night burning up electricity. Sometimes when it gets really super cold, I'll hold down the lightening bolt for three seconds and the vehicle will then fire up every two hours for fifteen minutes all night long. Now if I just had one of those remotes for my Hubby! (Okay rereading that last sentence it didn't sound good, I'm talking for work people, for work!)

I read "because those keys are always on the dash of the vehicle" and thought OMG keys in car, theft. But of course you not in the city, silly me LOL. Love the winter pics so beautiful, we here in Florida are at a staunch 80 degree yucky!! humidity and sweat.
