Do you Freecycle?

I interrupt your regular blog reading to bring you a special announcement!! But wait!!, if you subscribe now you'll get not one, but TWO...(just kidding, I couldn't resist) LOL

Okay I'm serious now...this will really cost you nothing, nada, zip, zero.

I am the co-moderator of a Freecycle™ group. Don't know what Freecycle is? The Freecycle™ Network is open to all who want to "recycle" that special something rather than throw it away. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano, yarn (did I say yarn? yes, yes I did) or an old door, feel free to post it. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! Check Karen C.'s blog for her story about receiving 3 truckloads of yarn after posting on her local Freecycle!

One constraint: everything posted must be free. This network is brought to you by The Freecycle Network, a nonprofit organization and a movement of people interested in keeping good stuff out of landfills. Check out freecycle.org for other cities and info on the movement, Freecyle is international so your city/town, or somewhere close by, may be listed! Nonprofit groups are also welcome to participate!

The Lillooet Freecycle™ group is for Lillooet, Seton, Shalath, Pavilion, Lytton, Goldbridge, Bralorne, and anywhere in between. If you live in any of the above places click the link below to join The Lillooet Freecycle™ group. If you do not live in Lillooet or nearby, click freecycle.org to find your local Freecycle Group.

GigoIt.com is a improvement over Freecycle where free items are listed. It has a lot of advantages over Freecycle like pictures and search and it's easier for beginners to pick up.There are lots of advanced features too, like RSS, a Google Earth layer, and gmail-style conversation views. I hope you check it out.

I checked out gigoit.org and unfortunately you can only use it if you have a US zip code, and I live in Canada. It does look great though and the search feature is a big plus!

Hi!

http://truequi.com
It is an object exchange platform; we don't just barter, we bring the exchanged objects to life and we make socialising real.

Thanks ;)
