I ended up making six of them and gave the first one to Sydney. The problem I ran into was no seam allowance was listed and the first pouch was too small, after that I used a 1/4 inch seam allowance and they turned out much better. I used one inch spaces for the crayons and was able to fit in ten.
I also made a few more wallets but I used a different tutorial than the one I used before. These wallets are more long than wide with the flap at the top.
They are perfect for credit cards, drivers license, etc. Instead of snaps I used dots of Velcro, it is so much easier.
Today I'm knitting up a couple of hats on the Knifty Knitters, (thank goodness for chunky wool!) and baking bread. Tomorrow will be a baking day and Thursday is Sydney's Christmas concert... busy week!

OOooooo Kansas is on fi-yahr! Go girl go!
I just love the kite fabric. Any idea who the maker is (aka Miller Fabrics)?
Hi Liz!
I wasn't sure at first, but I bought it at Wal-Mart and looked up Cranston and sure enough it was there:

If the link doesn't work look up Flying High Aqua 92036 and you'll find it.
You should open a store with all your crafts. Auntieb
Hi Kansas...
I think the crayon idea is great. I do love the card holders though, it is hard to find card holders just the right size. Cool idea. The flame ones would be easy to spot in your purse.
Love Ya!
You certainly have been busy. I love the crayone pouches and the wallets are awesome.
Love that flame fabric. Very Hot Wheels!
Thanks Vickie. It's hard to come up with something homemade for boys so the flaming crayon pouches are great for my two nephews :)
Ohhhhh...I like the crayon holders, but you know what I want to use them for? DPN holders. Might have to make them with a foldover flap so the needles don't fall out.
Hi my spot...
That's a great idea for the DPN holders! I think I would just add the flap in the "sandwich" when sewing the felt on. I'll have to try that.
