I leave you with a picture of spring, or at least a little snip of spring from my garden last year.

Waiting for spring
All right I've had enough winter. Yup, come on, bring me spring! Two nights ago I left the Ranch for a quick trip to the city. Something I wouldn't normally do is drive at night, but I ended up leaving quite late and then when I hit the rain, snow, slush, massive rocks, and ice on the drive I about lost it. What normally takes about 25 minutes to the first town south of the Ranch took me over an hour. When people started pulling over to let me go by I thought "what the heck am I doing?" But persistence, careful driving, and Randy Travis on the stereo got me through it :) The kids and I spent two nights in a hotel room and we got to spend quite a bit of time with my oldest daughter Dallas. You know I really have to take my two youngest off the Ranch a bit more often; we had pizza delivered to the hotel and the two of them were not only shocked that a man could deliver our supper, but that it was HOT when it got there! I won't even tell you about their excitement when it only took us five minutes to drive to Tim Hortons to get Timbits!

beautiful flower.. Pizza delivery in Lillooet??
There are many great things to living downtown in even such a small city like Fredericton. And pizza delivery is one. My top favorite is the grocery store ( three in fact) are about a 5 minute walk away. I always forget something!
Great photo. I know what you mean about exposing the kids to things. When my son was about 6 we went to a pizza sit down restaurant. He was in the back corner of the booth and as we were getting up to leave he picked up his plate. We told him to leave the plate and he was quite confused at first. He was used to home and fast food places where he took care of his stuff. You would find the same thing with kids coming to the ranch. The nice thing about your situation is you are better able to expose your kids to the city, than those in the city exposing their kids to farm life.
Sounds like once you got there, it was worth it! =)
It is 73 degrees here today...I, too, am ready for spring, but I do wish we'd get just a LITTLE BIT of winter...
BTW, we took a "nip" of the lovely gift and I can tell you, it was a hit here! My son wants US to make some of our own and is even coming up with some ideas! haha! =) Thank you, again!
I still can't see your pictures! =(
Of course, by blogging about farm life she's exposing us to farm life. :)
I miss spring too, all we get is cold and snow, and repeat over and over. I am moving back to the midwest asap.
I am so looking forward to Spring and brighter days. This snow is really getting to me. I love it when our days start getting longer. The picture is so bright and beautiful. It gives us all hope.
Love Ya!
randy Travis? Great choice for passing time; most of my time is passed in that manner. Good choice.
