I had all intentions...

I signed up for an online photography course and had all intentions of completing lesson 4 today.  I did, I did!  But... well the weather was so nice and we're all feeling a bit better so we headed out to the field and had an impromptu picnic.  Did I tell you all that Sydney missed her first day of school? :(  Sad day around here.  The school called on Monday and said that Sydney was in the sick room with a bad stomach ache.  I couldn't drive in because Jevan was home with a touch of the flu himself, and there was no way I wanted him in the truck with the ailments that come along with the flu!  Sydney didn't have long to wait before the bus came, and by the time she got home she looked real bad.  She missed Tuesday but was able to go on Wed & Thur.  Friday was a no school day and both kids are great.  Anyway... Sydney is adamant about not missing anymore days (she only missed one day last year) and Jevan, well he could take it or leave it lol!

I didn't get any shots for the photography course but I did take these.  I made the cross about seven years ago and I can't believe it's holding up so well.

Another shot:

In colour:

I truly hope that Sydney is asking God to wipe out the flu!

Jevan looks as if he's posing for some girlie magazine!

Two best friends.

The horses quickly discover that Sydney has apples, carrots, and grapes in her backpack!

As always, I'm intrigued by how just different color/tones -- sepia, b&w, color -- can do with one picture. The wood grain in the cross really just pops out at you.

And yeeuch, I'm joining Syd's prayer. Glad you guys are feeling better. I feel for her, missing school, and remember the days that would have brought on more weeping than the flu's puking and headaches.

Looking good! If I had weather like that, I'd have been outside too!

Tadmack: Wow this flu has really hit just about everyone I know! Thank goodness it's down to a 24 hour thing because a couple of weeks ago when Jevan and I got sick it lasted for a few days, nasty!

Tracey: I just bought some old fashioned foam rollers for Sydney's hair, she's in her glory! lol Stay tuned for "curly" pics soon :)
