Cayenne Salve

This was pretty easy to make!  I had a harder time finding the tins and beeswax than actually doing the making of the salve.  At first I called our local honey guy, he has hives out here on the Ranch and I often see him collecting.  I called but didn't hear anything back for a few days, turns out he's out of town and won't be back until March 1st, bummer, because I really wanted to stick with "local."  I'll hit him up when he gets back but for now I searched Google and was able to find a place in Burnaby and ordered some supplies, I picked them up today.
Cayenne salve works on many different types of pain, from diabetic neuropathy, shingles, migraine headaches, backaches, arthritis, menstrual cramps, and bruises.  If you'd like the recipe visit:

You are a wealth of useful information! I have diabetic neuropathy along with the usual muscle and joint pains, so I definitely will be giving the Cayenne Salve a try. I have local sources for the beeswax, but where do you buy your tins?

I found them in Burnaby at but it's a bit of a hassle to shop online with the. I found this place last night and they have a Canadian and US store (hopefully the shipping is cheaper for you than it was for me!)

I've seen various salves by Badger Balm, but had never thought to make my own - D. wants to keep his own bees someday and do something like that.

Will you be selling these?

After letting this cool last night I gave it a try. I'm surprised at just how hard it sets up! I will keep applying it to my lower left leg (muscle pain) and see if it helps.
No T I won't be selling them, just for personal use or if anyone wants one. They are quite cheap to make and probably cheaper if I can get local beeswax.
