Google Docs & Spreadsheets

Well I'm one for trying out new things...especially new "techy" things. But I've really dragged my butt changing to the new template in Blogger, I have switched over to the new beta version of blogger, just haven't changed my template, although I did change it once but quickly changed it back after it stripped most of my sidebar items back to default. The thought of all that work redoing everything, ugh! Yesterday I set up a new blog for my sister; Biffy's Bits and was able to play around with the new template. I love the ease of using it, simply drag & drop, and click individual items to edit but I think I need to "play" a bit more. One of my biggest pet peeves about Blogspot is the limited space in posting as well as a pain in the butt posting pictures (I switched to FireFox and that helped a great deal). But after you get the pictures posted it's nasty to move them just where you want them. Soooo...I'm, at this very moment, using "Google Docs & Spreadsheets " to type up this post, it's web based so nothing to download. Everything seems to be great! Large posting area, spell check, a filled toolbar and a "publish" tab, I guess if, when, and what this post looks like when I hit publish will be the tell-all :) Heck I think I'll even throw in a picture just for good measure and move it around a bit :)Update: It works! And it works really good! Even the editing capabilities are awesome...I'm hooked...well at least until the next "new" thing comes my way :)

you should really consider switching over to beta blogger if you havent already. the pictures work much much better with the beta!

Hi Shari, I've already switched to beta but I haven't yet changed my template...I don't like that it basically resets my sidebar back to default.

lol.. sorry i just realized that you said right at the beginning of your post that you switched. doh!

I have played around with a few of their templates, to customize them and make them more mine, but I am still learning, so for now I am just using theirs.

That's okay Shari. I changed the paragraph because it wasn't that clear. I'm probably going to have to switch eventually so I should just do it now before it "has" to happen :)

As usual, I'm slow but I get there eventually. Per our phone conversation, I tried the name I said I'd thought of, randombugbytes, and got it before someone else did. I am sure I won't be as prolific as you, but I did it. Amber made the cute ladybug picture just for me.

I got the picture thing to work--thanks again to my Technical Advisor!
