Start 'em young

Jevan and his Dad on the tractor.
After looking over this post and seeing this picture again, I thought if it were black & white it would look a 100 years old, I mean how many times have you seen an old b&w photo of a father and son sitting on a tractor? So I took it into a photo program and aged it, here's the results:

So what do you think? Does it look like 1907? My Mom pointed out to me they probably would have been sitting on horses if it really were 1907 but sometimes I think the equipment around here is pretty close to that old!

Do you see me doing a happy jig? Finally, finally after two years of nagging asking hubby to "do something with my garden" he did it! It took one bobcat, two tractors, and the dump box but I no longer have two willow trees and a line of strawberries down the center of the garden. He also dumped four dump truck loads of cow manure and cultivated it too. Oh the excitement of it all :) Now it's just a matter of adding the sand and hopefully things will grow a heck of a lot better than last year.

See the pipes in the background? That's what I talked about yesterday.

"I'll show you first, then you can try."

"Look at me, look at me!"

Start 'em young! He's only 3 but he's got the hang of it.

These pictures are so beautiful! I love to see Dad and little one working together. Your hubby is building some beautiful memories right now.

We also did some yard work this weekend. We planted a few little trees in our front yard and planted some flowers (but these won't flower til next year).

The picture does look great in black and white.

These are great pictures! And the sepia one is really cool - it does look like an old-timey picture!

In my previous post, I also meant to add that I LOVE the name of your ranch, too!
