Canner Update

These are the dents in my new canner :( But I have great news! I contacted Canning Pantry and explained that it had been shipped to my Hubby's Aunt's American address and, unfortunately, she had already destroyed the box. It's such a large canner it would have been a pain to send it back but I wanted to let them know that I was not happy with the shipping and to ask them if this was a common problem? They emailed me back and said they would send another one and don't return the damaged one because they would just throw it out anyway! Five stars to them for excellent customer service!
I also ordered a whole wheat cookbook and a French Bean slicer, it's the only way I like to eat green beans, and I can't wait to try it out... hurry up garden!

I like that french bean cutter than mine...I can only put one in at a time. And I also only eat green beans Frenched. I took my old canner and put some more holes in the bottom and planted herbs in it. Hugs

Glad you got your canner replaced, and they were so accommodating. I'm like you, I prefer my green beans French style too.

So, with a little bit of hammering, you can can twice as much at one time. :)

Hi Kansas! Sorry about all the headaches with your canner and steamer...how disappointing! But I'm glad they were happy to send you a new one without you having to jump through hoops! =)

Been real busy here, but I've been checking your blog daily when I take my 1 minute breaks! =)

Hi Kansas...
That is great news. What a hassle it would have been to return it. I am sure someone on the ranch will be happy to use it.
I can't wait to try those french style beans. It seems many people only like them that way. We do like them fresh right off the vine and have been very lucky this year, my sister has kept us supplied from her garden. I just steam them for about five minutes and they are mm mm good.

Love Ya!

I hadn't heard of a french bean cutter for home use. Very clever!
